News from Oreo.....

Hi everyone. I'm home and so very happy with my new family. I was a good boy traveling home, learned my special place in the yard right away, slept all night and kept my crate clean and have been on my best behavior. I have so many wonderful children to play with and I love them all. Momma Paula treats me like a prince and I love her the most. Ethan, Anna and Joshua showed me everything and were so patient with letting me get to know my home. Even baby Gracie loved my kisses. When I was taking a nap in my crate with the door open, I heard Joshua ask Momma if he could wake me up to play. Of course Momma knows I'm just little more than a baby myself and need my rest. She said they could sit quietly and watch me nap. Joshua stretched his arms out and whispered, "I've finally had my dream come true and now I have to let him nap?" My Joshua is four....and this family is my dream come true.

Teddy (left) and Lincoln (right) love their little sister Misty. See how they surround her with their love and protection. These pups are having a well deserved nap after a fun romp. Misty is in training until her family returns to claim her. She is just a joy.

All by ourselves.........

Yep, we're the leftovers. We came home on Saturday after watching Cocoa, Mickey, Emme & Oreo leave with their new families.....tore through the play room looking for everyone, and ended up together in this little bed. Big sigh...

We know our family is looking for us, so we'll just wait here, learn more manners and enjoy playing with all the rest. The good news is that we get outside now to potty and have a ball running with the big cockers. And guess what....they love us! All the mommies smell us to see if we're clean, some bring us toys. But the most amazing thing happened, Daddy Weylin and grandpa Basil wanted to be with us too. They are so big and strong..we wondered if we were in trouble and hid under the chairs on the deck. But they were gentle and protective. Isn't that great! We can only stay out for five or ten minutes...longer if the sun is shining on our backs. That's okay, we have a ball inside, too. So don't worry about us, we're doing great while we dream of our new homes, toys and family kisses.

We arrived home safe and sound after a fun trip in the back seat with our Debbie Mom. We snacked, sleep and played like good little kids. At home, we explored our new back yard, left our marks and went inside to see what fun awaited us there. We love our new bed and all the toys. Daddy Bob took a full week off from work so we would adjust. Aren't we the luckiest puppies! We are saying our prayers that all the rest are having as great a time as we are and that Teddy and Linc will soon discover their forever homes. Puppy kisses to all.

New Rescue at Hunter's Wild Hare Acres

Sierra is a buckskin mare being ridden by my granddaughter Sarah. Vincent, a quarter horse, is 100% better than when he was brought home....so you know how bad he was. Jane, Scott, Sarah & Sam go to the horse auctions and rescue what they can from being sent to the meat markets. If you are interested in a rescue, I can put you in contact with Jane and the groups she works with. Vincent will be fostered until he is able to be placed. Sierra will remain at Hunter's Wild Hare Acres.

Emme at home.....

Wow.......I have a wonderful home with my new mommy Eileen. We went to PetCo today and I got a new sweater. I was surprised to learn I had a cocker sister at home, too. We just look at each other for now and try to figure out what we are! LOL.....soon enough, we'll be fast friends.

Chester presents his new family.

Yes, here they are......Kelly and Shawn Beech, my new Mommy and Daddy love. I will stay in the Rochester, NY area in a home with two acres surrounded by farm land, so running and playing in good ole cocker style is the action of the day. The best news of all.....I have two new cocker brothers. Buster is a black and tan and Reese is a chocolate and tan. I am truly a lucky, lucky boy. I want to thank my foster parents, Jim and Eileen Dimon for all the love and patience they gave me while I was in training. They shared their home, their Berkeley and Charlie and all their wisdom to make me a good citizen. I love them and am told we all will be getting together when the weather is warm and have a good old fashioned reunion. Life in cocker world sure is good!
