Philip's plowing snow.........

.........even with a migrain headache he keeps the driveway clear. However, this am he hinted that a 4x4 with a plow would sure make his efforts easier. Hope Santa's listening cause I want to add a few things to that list, too

Soup's on........

There's a big pot of veggie/beef soup bubbling away on the stove for us and fresh birdseed cakes hanging on the upper deck for our fine feathered friends. The cockers love to sit on top of the sofa and what them out the window.

Working on the Christmas tree

OK......this year I will have a Christmas tree up in my home. With so many four legged critters eager to take the ornaments hung "just for them" out into the yard, my only option is to put it in the loft where my computer office and guest bed is located. Only the trustworthy cockers get to come here anyway and they would never think of destroying any thing of Mommy's. This amazing tree was given to us by our good neighbors Kathy and Bob Sarber when they shut down their B&B an went on the road with Fudge & Peanut. It looks like a real forest pine complete with pine cones and pine cone lights. I'm starting to collect special woodsy type ornaments to hang. But until then, I'll put the traditional gold/silver/red/green/blue glass balls. Haven't heard from the Sarbers and we need the RVing Cocker Report.

Hi Mum Mum!! Well Ellie had to tell me about this white stuff, I didn't know what to think. I finally figured out what it was...a snow cone, less the cone!!!

Love Emme

Emme was such a clown with the first snow. First time out her tail was straight up. She didn't know what to think. Pretty soon, all wags!! If Ellie likes it its OK with her. Have to ask you where is the Boyds Barn? Mom used to collect them, has about 100 on a shelf. Haven't had a chance to tell ya how cute the newbies are. OF COURSE!! Boys, boys, boys...when ya gonna get a pile of girls??? LOL

Take care
love Denise

Son-in-law's 8 point buck....

Scott shot his buck in the last minutes of Saturday's light. He just had surgery, so Sam, Sarah and I dragged it UP THE FREAKIN' MOUNTAIN SIDE!!! We had to use a pulley, a wench (a mechanical one and me) and a 4 wheeler. It snowed and we laughed and sweated our butts off. Sam kept dumping snow on our heads by yanking on the tree limbs. Everything is bend over in the woods. Beautiful. This darn thing better taste good.
