We survived the Great Tail Robbery!!!

Here we are, tails and dews gone and we were good little kids.

Some of us have found our loving homes, but these two brothers are waiting for someone
to notice them and say "Ok.....that's the boy for me!:
If you can't live without us, please email Gma Mary now.

Rabbit is a little bigger right now than Bud. Rabbit is a solid black with heavy bold
tan points in all the right places.
Bud is also black & tan, but he carries the Merle gene and has a very interesting
patterns on his face, neck and legs. He's what you call a blue Merle.
All the puppies are scooting around the box like the own the place. In no time at
all they will be trying to stand only to fall on their noses.
Not getting much done these days except watching them.
Pansy has recovered from her whelping ordeal and is enjoying
being the center of attention. Of course, Nanny Janice has been here to
put her stamp of approval on the litter.

Jett's popping in to say "HI" (Rosie/Weylin boy)

What a handsome fella. Sure does look like his Mama. We would love to have
current photos of his litter mates. How about it?

Ava Jane's baby quilt is done......

..........what a relief. Ava Jane is due June 29th and I wanted her quilt to be waiting for her. Didn't think I'd make it. But thanks to LeRoy the Amish sewing machine repairman in PennYan, NY and Philip watching Pansy's litter........I finished and it's in the mail. I need a nap!

Pansy.........

The hard work is over. The litter is here. We have four boys ( 2 blk/tan merles, 1 blk/tan, 1 chocolate/tan merle) and two girls (1 black & tan, 1 blk/tan merle). All are healthy and beautiful. As you can see, Pansy is resting now after her special dinner of roasted chicken, rice w/gravy and buttered carrots. Tomorrow she gets a steak. I thought there was one more puppy, but it's been hours since her last one. We will continue to be by her side 24/7. If one more shows up late for the party, we'll be sure to post the news here. Formal photos have been taken and I'm working on editing and publishing them to the web site. The wait list will receive an email with the link to the Newborn Page as soon as it is published. That will probably be in the early evening. The page will be visible to the public tomorrow. Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers that helped Pansy to deliver with out any problems. We are so blessed.

A note from Abby's Mom......

We go through this everynight. She'll stand at the sink while I’m brusing my teeth waiting on her turn!

Abby spoiled?.....NEVER!! What would make you think that??

Today's the day......Pansy's ready.

"I hear my siblings are on the way! Yippie, hope they have some pretty little
girls, just like me....one for Jack and one for Lacey Rose." Emmy Lou

"Thanks everyone for caring so much about me. Mom will post the outcome as
soon as the babies are all here, fed, dry and rested. Wish me luck!"
Pansy

Labor has begun. All is well. Pansy hasn't started serious labor so this could take another 8 hours before the first puppy arrives, but I think it will be sooner than that. It's a beautiful day, sunny and warm. So the mob is out on the back deck and out of the way. Iris, of course, remains inside to monitor the situation. Iris watches over Pansy and lets me know if somthing's changed when I have to leave for a minute or two. This time tomorrow, we'll all know what's in those mysterious boxes under the Christmas Tree!
