Ruby's home from Cornell and eye surgery....
Ruby had mature/complete cataracts in both eyes. Her left eye cataract came almost over night. The right one took four months. Because of the fast onset, her retina was almost completely detached. Ruby could not have surgery on that eye and is permanently blind. The good news is that her right eye is a big success and she saw everyone the moment she woke up. She is like a little puppy running around wanting to greet everyone. That's not possible so she must spend the next two weeks in a crate in our family room in the middle of all the activities, but not being bumped by the others. You can see by the face on photo that both eyes have that milk colored cataract. In the one after surgery, the right eye reflects light now. We are so happy for our sweet Ruby!
