Flowers

It's a rainy day again and we're so happy. The gound was so dry, we thought we might

end up all dried and droopy. But look at us!
We're standing tall and drinking in all the goodness.
All the cockers are unhappy and wishing they could run and play
in and out of our gardens.

Big Hello & thanks to Elaine....

Hi Elaine!

Here we are looking at a new puppy just minutes old. It's from our album of memories. It reminds us of how faithful you are in watching us every single day and enjoying our activites. We wanted to thank you for all the times you've help deliver our babies to eager families waiting to hold, hug and kiss their new babies.
You are the Best!

Poor Mommy.......

We're being verrrry good and quiet. Mommy had an emergency trip to the dentist. Seems she needed a root canal on a tooth they wanted to crown. Ouch. So there's not much new here to report. Thyme got her bath and the puppies continue to play hard with a lot of toys in the puppy yard. But us big kids are keeping a low profile!

Amara, Gracie, Rbie, Sadie & SusieQ

Oh boy, it's another lovely day. We can run and play in our puppy yard. Mom says we're oh so dirty from digging and playing in the leaves. HaHa...and we're to get something called a bath. Do you think that will be fun, too? Three of us are leaving on Saturday, two are waiting for another week for our families. We hope our new homes have lots of toys and fun like we have here. We will be checking back in to let you know. For now, we're free, free, free!

Rosita of Stonebroke Gardens

Oh, can you smell it? Mom's making a turkey for dinner! We love it when she does.

We get a lot of the delicious trimmings, not the fat, you know. We do have to watch our fats. If we get too big, our hip joints can be damaged and we will have pain.
So we are good and eat the good meats.
Oh, by the way, I'm Rosie. I am one of the retired Ladies here enjoying my twilight years
watching all the other ladies raise their puppies.
They tell me I'm a sweetheart and it's true. I'm a lover,
never a fighter. My main job these days is to clean up
whatever falls on the floor in the kitchen before anyone notices it.

Tee hee! Bad me!
I love to sit in the sun on the back deck and watch the birds and flowers.
You can see my puppies and their families on the Puppy Love pages
of our web site. I'm hoping some of my puppies will write me here.
Hope you are enjoying this beautiful fall.

Here's our precious Lily..........

Welcome Autumn!

Isn't it a lovely time of the year? The leaves are turning all the beautiful colors I love. It's exciting to see them blazing in the sun on tenuous stems, then breaking loose and riding a swift breeze across the fields and into our yards. It's fun to watch the puppies chasing them and holding them high like the treasures they are.

Well, let me introduce myself to you. I'm Auntie Lil, the only girl around here that didn't have and won't have any puppies. But that's okay, I love being the one to watch over them and make sure they are safe and sound.

I would love to hear from all my friends.

Gotta go now......everyone's barking....someone must be coming to visit.

Howdy there. I'm Weylin, chief stud muffin and man in charge of making all the ladies happy now that Basil's retired. My Mom's from Brazil, so I'm a latin lover boy, tee hee. You can see my beautiful babies by visiting our home on the web (www.sbgcockersandquilts.com).
I'm just a fun loving kind of guy, chasing my ball around the yard, chasing bear away with Basil and living the good life.
Feel free to write to me and share you stories. I love knowing how my kids are doing.
Happy Trails!

Hi..I'm Tomara's Bee-4-the Dawn "Bee"

Hi Everyone,

Nice to meet you! Today is a beautiful sunny day in our mountains. The leaves are turning colors and my puppies are playing happily in the puppy yard. They are six weeks old now and don't need me anymore. That makes me sad as I love them one and all. But they are practicing being all grown up and getting ready to pack their little fur bag, put on their best Sunday hats and go home with their new loving families. I'm sure I'll be sad on that day....but for today, I'm sitting in the sun laughing at all the funny things they are doing.

Happy Birthday Philip

Today was a very happy day. It was our Daddy Philip's birthday. We love our Daddy. He gives us treats, cleans up our messes (opps, bad us) and makes sure we have good food and clean water. Mommy Mary took him to a wonderful buffet for huge crab legs. He didn't eat any supper tonight......wonder why? We love it when Daddy throws the tennis ball for us to chase. He's the best.

Happy Birthday, Daddy! all us Sbg cocker kids!

Hi! I'm Basil

Yep, it's me, Basil.....the old boy of the lot. Iris thinks she rules, but I'm the boss. My main duties here are to patrol the ten acres of woods and flowers, help my Daddy fend off the black bear, deer, turkey and wild cats. I can do it, too!
Just last summer while Philip was picking blueberries, a black bear stepped out of the woods to get a paw full. Well, not on my watch!!! I ran his black butt out of the orchard, down the bank into the creek and out of site. Yep, I rule.
On my softer side, I love all the new puppies. When the Mommies have their backs turned to take a rest break outside, I love to go and roll them over, lick them good just in case the mommy missed something. But I'm no dummy. I skeedaddly fast when I hear them coming back!
I'd love to hear from all the grandpa's and what they are doing in their retirement days.
I could use a laugh or two!

Hi.....I'm Iris of Stonebroke Gardens

I'm the first cocker to come to live here. They tell me that I chose Mary & Philip as my family by pushing my chocolate sister out of the way. Yep, that's me. I've ruled the roost since I was six week old. Now that I'm a gramma, I'm in charge of teaching all the new girls and puppies how to behave. The hardest time I have is finding a nice place to nap quietly and undisturbed.
Do you have any suggestions? I'm sure there are many of you with good suggestions. Thanks,
Iris

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to our blog. We are a group of American Cocker Spaniels
who happen to live together in the beautiful mountains of North East PA.
During our blog, we will be commenting on whatever is on our minds,
whatever is happening here,
or whatever strikes our fancy.
We hope you all will join in and share your lives and loves with us.
We're Lacey and Max,
who no longer live here and have found our forever homes. But since we are the example our humans use to show everyone how a puppy from SBG appears, we're happy to introduce you to the rest. Please feel free to visit our former home at http://www.sbgcockersandquilts.com/ for the past, present and future happenings. Come back here often to see what one of their cockers has to say. Thanks for looking and I hope you'll have plenty to share with us all.
