Tricks has a new home...."Oliver" is his new name.

Hi Everyone! I wanted you to see my new Mommy Kelly and Daddy Sean.
I'm going to live in their loving home and guess what......they already have three other cockers living there with them. There is an old guy, Reese, my half brother Buster and Ruby/Weylin's boy Chester. I know we are going to be a very happy
family unit. I even hear talk of maybe a baby sister in the future just for Mommy Kelly since is surrounded now by boys!
Thanks for all your good wishes and watching me grow up.
Oliver

Brinkley has news........

Gma Mary,
Brinkley checking in Momma took some recent pictures of me playing with my "few" toys, (I luv allllll my toys) I had my surgery 2 weeks ago and Momma and Daddy couldn't believe that it didn't bother me in the slightest, the worst part was momma made me stay away from the firehall for a few days, Daddy took me after a couple of days and told momma "you said a couple days and a couple of days was up.
The good thing was I didn't miss any calls. I am growing so fast and I love life and live each day to the very fullest, I did get in trouble the other day because I chewed on momma's good shoes but I looked real sad and Momma said how can you get mad at me, shew it worked. Jasper and I got to go to our gramma and grandpas for Thanksgiving and even got a little piece of turkey and got to play with the big dogs, they play real nice with me, I was very tired when I came home.
Jasper, Me and Momma and Daddy wish you a Happy belated Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for.

The Great Tail Robbery!

"Yep, while all of you were watching everyone carve the turkey yesterday, someone crept in and stole our tails! We were brave little puppies and only cried because we were held so tightly. Once it was over, we let Mom comfort us with more dinner, just like you were doing!!! See our new look above."

PS....who was whistling Three Blind Mice?

Buzzz, Bumble, Queenie & Honey

Happy 13th Birthday, Iris!!!

Thirteen years ago a little girl was born who would change our lives completely. Philip had always had a cocker in his life for hunting, but never in his home. In January of 1998, I knew he needed another one, but she would be our inside baby. I looked in the free paper and found a litter of cockers ready to go. We found these pups out in a shed with a bulb burning as their only source of heat. Pitiful. I had wanted a chocolate, but they had this little red girl, too. Philip loved her apple shaped head and said she was the pick. I held my choice and the red girl in my arms and told them we could only have one, "which one of you want to go home with us?" The red girl picked up her paw and knocked the chocolate one almost completely out of my arms!!! Guess that settled that. Little red girl became our Iris who has ruled our home and lives ever since. She taught me to love the breed and want to share this love with others. The rest is history and I'm forever in Iris's debt. Today she hasn't slowed down one bit, still announces arrivals, animals in the yard and any sound that requires immediate attention. We can't image a day without her telling us it's time for supper, time to follow that buzzer to get clothes out of the dyer, cake out of the oven or the puppies need attention. God Bless you little red hen.......we love you so very much and appreciate all you do for us.

To all our good friends and cocker family....

We are truly blessed and thankful to have met so many wonderful people while enjoying the best hobby on Earth........cocker spaniels. This is a perfect time to remind you how much you are appreciated. We wish you good health and happy times for the coming year and always. Keep those great stories and photos coming for all to enjoy. So many have expressed their addiction to the never ending saga in the Lives of our Cocker Spaniels. Better than any daytime TV soap! Enjoy the Day.

Bee's angel boy Nectar........

The Cocker Angels come this morning to carry our sweet boy Nectar to the Rainbow Bridge.
I never understand why a group of eggs are released at the same time so all puppies are the same age and size....then days later, one more egg is released. Little ones like Nectar are a week behind the others and rarely have a chance of making it no matter how hard they try.
As with Nectar, they fail to thrive or grow and fade away. Bee knew, but treated him as she did the others. We ask little Nectar to come back to us again and we will find that wonderful home that waits just for him.

New Grooming for Rusty & Molly

Molly & Rusty are showing off their new groomings. It's takes a lot out of a cocker being beautiful. They need to rest afterwards.
Molly loves chewing her bone. She has the sweet face of her
Momma Ruby and is creamy like her dad Weylin.

Sure can tell Rusty is Weylin's boy but has his
Momma's red coat!

Photos of Thyme in her new home & with Cocoa.

Doesn't she look happy and beautiful with her new Holiday collar. Cocoa is her best buddy, too.

We miss her terribly, but are joyful that she is so very loved and loves in return. We can't ask for more. Thanks Linda and George for sending the photos and caring for this wonderful girl.

Labs are here, too!

My daughter Jane Hunter has her litter overnight, too. There are four black females available. They are $900 with a $200 deposit to hold, limited registration, thick wavy coats and will be stunning. Photos will be posted later. http://www.tinbeaklabradors.net/

Bees have returned to the hive...........

"Bumble"...dk buff male, "Buzzz"...dk buff male, "Nectar"...black male, "Queenie"...black & tan female and "Honey"...buff female.
All are 8 oz except for Nectar, he is 5oz, but very healthy and active.

It took all night, but all are fine. Bee has fed, polished and warmed the babies and is now resting. I'm working on the Nursery and Newborn pages on the web site so you can see individual photos. Wait list will be notified and available puppies posted. This will be done when Philip is in from Bear hunting so I can work. Otherwise, I'm right there counting breaths and measuring tummies!

New Graduate.....

Sidney (CC/Charlie son) graduated today from Obedience School. He did so well that the instructor recommended him for Agility school! We are very proud of this beautiful boy. Handsome, smart and talented...Good Job, Sidney!

Bee's report......

Everything is going great this morning. Bee is enjoying her pregnancy even if she is having a hard time finding room to breath! Puppies are poking and squirming around like they are ready to make their appearance. We should be having puppies in the next day or two. Watch the blog for notice when labor is well under way.

Beanie love.......

Sharon Hawthorne of UP of Michigan knits beanies like this one as gifts for preemies. What a lovely way to spend those cold days and night living next to Lake Superior. Of course she gets a lot of help from her cocker, wee Bonny.

Thanks Sharon for finding a wonderful way to spread your love.

A message from Neo's family...a Rosie & Weylin son.

Mary, how are you! It's been a long time but I wanted to tell you that
our baby Neo is doing well and having fun with our son Connor. They
like to share toys and love to wrestle. I find Neo's toys in Connor's
pack and play all the time. When Connor is in his walker, he chases
Neo around the house. Then he waves a toy for Neo to chase him. It's
been great. Hope you are all well and gearing up for the holidays.
Lots of love, hugs and Neo kisses to you and the family!
The Drewes Family
Cole, Josie, Connor and Neo
What a perfect picture of family love. Josie served with the Armed Forces in the desert countries and upon return, she contacted us for her Neo. Next she found the love of her life and together they became a family. Then as a blessing to them all, along came their son Connor. The pictures show a home filled with love. We are so proud of this young family.

OK Mom, we're ready to go out in the cold.....

for the camera?
