Mr H says Happy Halloween

Do you like my Harley Biker look? Trick or Treat! I have wonderful news. My Mommy, Bee is coming to live with us! Yippie! We can't wait to bring her home.
She loves to ride in the car, sit on laps and give big hugs and kisses. She sleeps with GMa Mary every night, so will love it that she's more than welcome in ours.
Daddy Pete is looking forward to having his very own love bug just like I am to Mommy. We'll let you know when we get it all arranged. GMa Mary and GPa Phil are so sad that she is leaving, but thrilled that she will be with her very own son. Now you can't get any better family than that!
Love you all.....my very special cocker family!
Mister H
ps....CC and Iris will be so happy to have more room with Gma Mary now. They said Mom was a bed hog!!!

Hi Mary!
We wanted to wish you a Happy Halloween and hope you and Philip are doing well. I'm all set for trick-or-treaters to come by tonight...Mom says cocker spaniels don't get to go out, but I know she keeps the candy in this pumpkin hehehe! I wore my costume to Andrew's football game this weekend and everyone thought I was such a pretty little girl (and the cutest football there!). It was family weekend at his school so I got to see him and Madeline...it's so lonely without them at home!

Jett - our angel who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We miss you
baby boy! Love you so very much.

Iris isn't amused!

Lily always goes with the flow......

Cherry is a verry good sport, but would rather be enjoying her nap or eating
the goodies......"where are they?"

"I am the supreme Lord of all Warlocks!"
Weylin

Rosie.........our angel witch! Do they trick or treat at the
Rainbow Bridge?
We are wishing all our little spookers fun and safety on this scary Halloween Night. The babies here are getting ready for their groomings for their six week photo shoot. Hope to have it published on the web site by tomorrow. Don't give up. They have really grown this past week while I was gone. Philip has done an amazing job with their care. If they are ornery little stinker pots, it's all his fault!!!

LOL.....leave it to Abby to do her best! Wow what a great photo!

Here I am getting myself ready to go trick or treating. We made 5 stops and enjoyed every one of them.

Love you Gma!!

I'm home.......

Thanks to all who wrote with best wishes and prayers. First and most important to me is that Philip will be returning for his second heart stint on Nov. 8th. Please keep him in your prayers. Second, my problem developed into a more serious situation that will require weeks of treatments. This has forced us into a very sad and difficult decision. We will be shutting down SBG Cockers and offering our younger cockers for sale. I will be working on that information and posting it to the web site later as I find time. In the meantime, the photo shoots of our current litters might be a little late. Please have patience with us while we figure it all out. Again I am sorry for using this mass way of mailing information and am sending our heartfelt thanks. God Bless you all.

Peanut and Fudge....on the road again.....

Our camping boys have packed and hit the road. It's time to have fun like the Hobo's do.
So look for their future postings of people, places and things.
PS....some boys never leave home without their ball!

Today's procedure........

Canceled. My daughter reviewed what had happened at Corning with Geisinger's specialists....who had a cow, ordered me down there tomorrow morning and he'd take care of the problem. I'm finally in the best of care. Might be there for a few days. If you don't hear anything on the blog, that's why. Philip has everything here organized and Janice will help. I'm going to my daughter's tonight and with her into the unit tomorrow....she is an RN there. Thanks for all your kind thoughts and prayers. I now feel confident I'll receive the care I need. Sorry to use this mass posting instead of all the personal replies you all deserve. Know you'll understand.

Cheyenne reporting in (Violet's litter mate.)

I thought that I would send you an update on Casey and Cheyenne. Tonight is the Homecoming Dance and Casey wanted to make sure that she had a photo with her "baby". Casey has been busy with volleyball at school but still finds time to take Chey to her puppy classes and works with her during the week. To cut down on some of Chey's energy, she's been going to doggie daycare 2 days/week. She seems to like it and spends time with a pudgy English bulldog named Nigel.
Joanne

Working dog......what a sweetie!

Typical day in Jessie's life.
Thanks John Lorrie & Minday Lou!
This gives our mob something to work on...that's for sure!

Mr. H's new Ice Trucker friend...Alex Deborgorski!

Hi Mary,

I can't get pics up on the blog but I thought that you would love these pics of Mr. H and his new buddy Ice Road Trucker Alex Deborgorski! And Alex is staying at Carl's house (he has the business Rockwood Products makes lots of custom stuff for trucks we've been friends for years). I have to tell you that Alex LOVED his big soft paws and couldn't get over what a beautiful dog he is. Of couse I bragged about you and Philip. Cheri had a cocker years ago and so did her sister and a friend has had 4 or 5 over the years and Cheri said she has never seen one as beautiful as Mr. H and she just kept petting him and we got some pics you will love and feel free to put them up on your website if you want.

Mattydale's Fire Prevention Week offical photo at school

My bros Jasper and Brinkley were on duty last year, but had appointments this day.

I had a grand time and loved being with the children. Below is some of the pictures taken by the newspapers that were published for all to see. I love being a Fire dog! Stay safe!
Mattydale

Click on photo to enlarge so you can see our Matty in his fire suit with his daddy,
Fire Chief Kevin Ernst of the Port Alleghaney Fire Dept.
As you can see, the children had wonderful time.
So did Matty.

Hello from friends of our web site and blog.......

Hi Mary,
A photo of Mindy (buff) and Britty (black) for your web site. Mindy is now almost 13 and acts like she is 6. She walks 1 1/2 miles with us daily. We lost Britty last October. They were great buddies. Mindy came to us about 12 years ago from our son who became very busy teaching and coaching.
We live on Owasco Lake in the summer and in Apalachin, NY in the winter. The dogs always enjoyed swimming. Britty was the ball player and would jump off the dock for a ball.
We looked at Daisy on your web site. It is so nice to see someone raising puppies in their home. Some poor puppies spend so much time in kennels.
Thanks,
John & Lorrie
What fun to hear from more cocker families. We appreciate you kind words and are so sorry for the loss of your precious Britty. Perhaps in the future you will find another sweetheart to add to your family. Mindy certainly does not look her age. A real testiment to your love and care. Thanks for writing! Mary & Philip

Birdie's pups are four week old.......

We're getting ready for Halloween. Come look at our new photo shoot to see how cute we are now. There was supposed to be candy in that Trick or Treat bowl, but someone ate it all.
Nanny Janice, was it you? tee hee
Guess what! I have great news. I have been adopted by a wonderful family, but can't tell you anything about it because it's a surprise. Don't you just love it! I don't know if I can even tell my new name. It might give away the surprise and that wouldn't be good.
Stay tuned for the rest of the story.
Miss Melanie

A thank you from Philip and I.........

To all our friends who have encouraged us with their prayers and offers of help. This one is for you.

Connor and Neo ....still playing!

Have you heard......"One boy's good, two boys are half a boy and three boys are no boy at all!" That's what an old farmer told me. Guess what.........these boys are expecting a new brother. Neo will have to split his time between them....or maybe, the new boy will get a puppy of his own!! Stay tuned for the next adventure of the dynamic duo!

Charlie's Angel is one week old.....

I made my own litter!

Angel is growing more beautiful every day and a very dark red color that's just
doesn't photo well. No eyes as yet.....that'll happen around 12 to 14 days.
So next week we'll see if they are green like Charlie's or dark brown like
Maggies. What a perfect example of an American Cocker Spaniel.
ps...all her photos are located on one page. Scroll down every week to see the current ones.

Sunny's 4 week photo shoot is ready......

Oh boy has it been a long day (big yawn). We started out getting a hair cut and then a
good bath. Gma Mary was moving rather slow and carefully so we wouldn't be
afraid of the clipper. Not to worry....we were pros....it's in our genes.
Then we had a wonderful warm bath and dried off nicely. Next came lunch....big mistake.
We had such fun in the food dish and ended up wiping our mouths on each other's backs!
Gma Mary was not assumed! We couldn't have another bath and get our photo shoot done in time. So she just wiped us off......I think you might see some of the cereal still on us. Yikes!
Anyway, we've had a wonderful day and are now looking for the snow we've been
warned about falling tonight. Can you believe it?
Max

A rose from Janice's garden........

What can make a weary soul rejuvenate better than a rose from a
precious friend's garden? Janice came bringing me this long stemmed beautiful
Tropicana rose. It's the biggest one I've ever seen. She knew that's my favorite rose and I could use a boost. The fragrance is so sweet and fruity and you can see for yourself the colors are like a sunrise or sunset in the tropics. Every time I walk by this rose, I have to stop and enjoy the beauty and "smell the roses."

Thank you, Janice.

Available lab puppies.......

http://tinbeaklabradors.net/availablepuppies.html This is the link to my daughter's nursery page. On October 7th, she delivered seven lab puppies. There are three chocolates and one black males available. Please scroll down on this page to the short video showing labs having fun in the snow. I can't figure out how to post it here. Sorry. Contact information for the puppies is also on that page. And tonight Blogger won't let me post any photos. So.....I'm taking the night of and putting my feet up. Nite!

Message to my good cocker friends......

Finally have answers to my medical problems. This morning's ultrascan showed gall stones!
So.........more tests next week and then on to the removal. Maybe when it's all over, I'll be able to enjoy life with my cockers and friends again. Thanks for all who've been worried.
Philip continues to gain strength and encouragement.
God is good to us.

Abby "Angelo"

Mom was painting the weekend..this time it was te bedroom. Well, she
spilled paint on the carpet...she cleaned it up and put the gate up
(the doors were taken off) and went out to the kitchen to clean up.
Well, I just pulled the gate out enough to squeeze throuh.
Well....look at what my little wondering nose did to me!!
When I was done inspecting I went out to the kitchen and sat there
waiting for mom to turn around. When she did, she said...Oh Abby!!
Next thing I know the flash on he camera was going off.
I liked the highlights, but mom took me to my groomer (who is mom's
friend) and used her shop to clean me up. It took about 2 1/2 hours to
wash me up...oh well, I was ready for my class then.
Just thought I'd check in with you, been awhile. Mom hasn't fixed her
email program yet....one of these days.
Abby
LOL.....oh Abby, I hope Tucker isn't watching. His Mom wanted to spruce up the house. Now she'll know to make sure he's crated before she begins! You look amazing as always.
Gma Mary

New photos from Gabby (Mr. H & Tucker's sister...

Hello Mary and Philip,
I feel terrible that I'm just now hearing all of your news, especially about Philip's health. By now, it sounds like he's on the road to recovery, which I'm grateful for.

And many puppies you have! They are adorable, and I'm sure will go to their loving homes quickly after being taught how to love by the best (their cocker family and you).
Am sending a couple pics of Gabby and Carlee. Gabby - such a character with her new elephant toy. She's actually treating it carefully, not shredding it like others. She likes to tear tiny pieces of toys which she chases and pounces on, forgetting the original toy! The dog sitters that I had while I was away both commented on how pretty Gabby is (Gorgeous, not just pretty), and how much she had "grown up." When we sit face to face, I look at those eyes of hers, and think that she knows my every thought.

The picture of Carlee - looking much wiser than her 4 1/2 years. Anne

Birdie's pups are three weeks old.......

Hi from the stormy mountains of PA! We just survived our first real storm. The hail fell so fast and hard it looked like a snow storm. All the noise of it hitting our roof scared us, but
Mommy reassured us that all is good. Just popping in to tell you the photo shoot from our
first camp out dinner is now posted. Link to the page is above.
Ashley

Thymie Jane

Mother, I am waiting for my bath.
Is that towel clean and warm?

Now I am going to read.
As you can see, our sweet Thymie Jane continues to be spoiled by her loving family.
What a lucky, lucky girl.

Vacationers return

Our good freinds Ted and Judy have returned from their trip to Germany and Austria safe and sound. Jack & Max have tails that won't stop wagging. Looks like they had a great time.

Picture from Munich, Germany outside the town hall & the Glockenspiel. Pictured with them is Judy's cousin Hannelore. Welcome back!

Charlie's Angel's big day.......

Charlie's Angel has her first outing this afternoon. Daddy didn't know what to think and wanted to bring her the ball. He ran in circles, jumped on the fence then decided he better get a closer look. Weylin didn't hesitate. He's seen them before. Sunny tried to take her away and Maggie wasn't having any of that! So Momma and her tired little Angel went back to the safety of their warm and comfy bed.
