Come take a walk with us in our spring gardens.....Happy Memorial Day!

In Flanders Field the poppies grow,
between the crosses, row on row
That mark each place.......
Old fashioned Sweet Shrub....smells like a sweet melon

Lupines

Japanese Dogwood Lupines are just beginning....
Hybrid Azaleas

Fancy peony

These are the best grapes ever. Taste like a crisp glass of wine. The are blush in color,
and oh so delicious. The deer beat me to them year after year. Think this year I'll
camp out.

Iris,Basil, Holly & the gardner

Iris is escorting you through the blooming rhodies...

The frosty nights and storms got to our rhodies. This year's
display was only about half what it should have been and lasted only a week.

Iris will lead you through the Hosta gardens.......

Nursery plants above...there are 300 + varieties. Philip loves Hostas!
This is the collection behind the house and in the woods creek side.
There are more located all around the acreage.

Hi Gma Mary and Gpa Phillip,

My family gave me a frosty paws for my first birthday. It was so hot out that day so the ice cream was delicious. Then I got to snuggle with my girl Alyssa. She and I are best friends. Tell Mommy Sunny I said hello and give her hugs and kisses from me. I also sent some photos of me with my frosty paws.

Love to all,
Lola

Hi Lola, Hope you Birthday was a fun one. Looks like you are enjoying your ice cream. There were three pictures, but only these two came through. You sure grew up a very pretty girl.
Love you,
Momma Sunny

Sarah's advanced to the semi-finals.....

Above is the secret to Sarah's success. Jumping hurtles is easy after this workout!

Friday's update from the track:

Lillian J Hunter Sarah will run at 10am Saturday morning: two heats, top 3 places plus 2 fastest times. Only 8 girls for the final race. Cassidy had tough, tough competition. She ran like the wind with the heart of a warrior. Sadly, she didn't qualify to the semi-finals. Next year she'll be on top! Will post events as they happen with my iPhone.
Update:
Lillian J Hunter Sarah finished 9th overall in AA states. We're very proud of her. :).

Hugs from Hershey......

"Hi Mary! The weather here has been so nice lately...almost 90 everyday! Maddie graduated so she has been home everyday to play with me outside. I really like that! I do get warm quickly, though, so there is always water and shade for me to relax in :)

Hugs from Hershey!"

Abby's family remembers Sissy........

Abby
Sissy
Sissy, a cocker/beagle mix, (bottom photo) was a member of Doug & Angie Lucas's family for many years. After a long illness, she lived for years longer than expected....due to the love and care of Doug and Angie and their family. After Sissy passed, they applied to adopt Abby (our Coral). We knew this was the perfect family for her.
Angie is sharing a photo of Sissy dressed for the holiday in her red/white/blue scarf. Recently she found that scarf and as you can see, Abby is wearing it with style, love and in memory of a very loved and missed little girl. It's a perfect fit all around.
Thanks for sharing.
