Hi Mary!
My new home is sweet; I have alot of toys, my own room with a comfy bed, pillow and the blanket you sent home with me, a beautiful big backyard with a garden and fountains I like to drink out of.......oh, and I have a motor home! We went to Williamsburg a couple of weeks ago and I had a ball! Mom walked me several times a day around the campground, I went swimming twice, sat near the campfire at night and played with my cousins Molly and Turk (they're Yorkies that belong to my mom and dad's friends who went with us on the trip).
Mom purchased the clippers you recommended, with an extra blade, from PetEdge. She really likes them, better than anything she has used in the past. She gave me a bath when we got home from Williamsburg and that went good. We're going camping again, locally, with some friends who are visiting from Florida with their camper. They have friends for me to play with; a Corgi and 2 Cairn terriers. I can hardly wait! Mom says after that trip, I have to get groomed, so we'll see about these clippers she likes!
I'm getting big too! Mom had to buy me a new collar and I'm almost 13 lbs! My vet took me for a day to visit her Jack Russell and Yellow Lab, and assess my behavior to give mom tips on training. I was a little angel and she told mom I was a good boy! Mom and I are attending obedience training and I am loving it! I know how to sit, stay, leave it, drop it, catch and return, look ....... but sometimes I get distracted with Robins and run out of the yard (Mom hates that, she is afraid I'll get hurt). Those Robins drive me crazy, and there are squirrels and bunnies that tempt me too. I'm trying to be good, but the temptation is too much and I must run off and chase 'em.
My neighbor Millie, a goldendoodle, has finally come over several times to play with me. She's big but lots of fun to play with. I jump on her and we run together chasing eachother. Her mom and dad make sure she plays gently since I'm so little compared to her. When she gets rowdy I just roll. I'm a very flexible little guy.
Mom forgot her camera in Williamsburg, but attached is a pic of me in my yard. Here's looking at you! I miss you, Philip, Reef, my dog mom & dad, and all of my aunts & uncles. Please give each of them a big kiss and hug for me ......... and let them know I am very happy in my new home. LOL
Sparky
P.S. from Toni; Sparky is a sweet boy. He is doing well and we love him to death. Thank you!
