Thanksgiving greeting from Michigan

Hey, do I look like Miles Standish to you?
Oh well, Happy Thanksgiving anyway.

How many cockers can fit in one little puppy bed?

Yep......all seven fit in. Of course there are other beds in the pen, but they all wanted this one. Guess they are taking advantage of their last days together. Lunch is over and it's nap time.

GAME ON, Cleo, Sydney and Shadow!!!

OK.......now we know what to expect with our sister kitties. "hey Bosco....we can take these fluffies on!" "We sure can, CoCo. They think we are sweet little babies. We'll let them think that and when they sneak up on us to give us a sniff......BAM....will lick their noses!" Maybe they didn't read the book.....Cockers love Cats! Time's counting down. Let's set the NYC Apple to drop on Saturday afternoon. Tee hee......CoCo and Bosco

News Flash from Cleo, Shadow and Sydney

We are beginning to get worried! Okay, not funny anymore. We found this old picture of what our play mice used to look like. They no longer exist. There are none to be found. We used to have at least a hundred. We have them in every color, (like we know!) and they have all disappeared. We overheard our mom and dad saying that they were going into storage for a while. Something about the upcoming furballs that are poaching into our territory and a concern for their safety. Nobody wants them to choke. (We don't choke, but we are felines, we know better.) This is not good. I guess we are just going to have to use the furballs for toys. Just remember, we are three. They are two. 4 more days and those little babies will be ours. We can't wait!!!! Watch out CoCo and Bosco!!!! Can't wait to meet you two. Cleo, Shadow and Sydney

Welcome Home Elaine Duffy

Our good friend Elaine has retired from her RN position in the Philly area and has returned home to be with friends and family. The Green Home in Wellsboro is lucky to have snatched her up. Those folks are in for a wonderful life with Elaine on the job. This sweet lady was the travel angel who transported our puppies to the Philly area to meet their new families. We are all forever grateful to her loving ways.

Hi, I'm Candy

Yes, I am still looking for my loving family. I know they are trying to find me. Today we're being groomed for our six weeks check up at the vet. We love Dr. Saxton. Even when he gives us shots, we kiss his nose. Do you like my Turkey?

Opening Day of Black Bear Season in PA

Oh Boy...look at this one! Seems he hasn't gotten the news. There's more nuts in the woods today than grow on trees. Run Mr. Bear, Run! (Hope Daddy didn't hear us yell that. He's in a tree with the best of them hoping to see one come his way.)

Finn's snow day

I had so much fun today that now I'm pooped. Mom yelled at Dad that I need my coat and boots, but all I wanted to know is where my snow board is and do snow angels. This white stuff is neat! Tell the new boy kids that the pictures show they are wearing bows not sweat bands. Mom and Dad says hi from snowy Syaracuse and Happy Thanksgiving to the mob.

Love, Finn

A visitor

Look what we found sitting outside our fences! It's the Thanksgiving Bunny! We love to bark at him and still he just sits not moving a muscle. Basil loves to take him for a run up the hill and into the wood pile. What a funny site.

Red has a home

Remember that litter of labs we let share our Nursery page? Well the last boy has found his forever home. Here is RED (now called Otis) with his Pop, Wilbur. We wish all the puppies the best lives ever.

Boy is Mom mad......

I'm the only cocker puppy left here waiting for a home. Some terrible people called scammers have hyjacked Mom's name and phone number and posted female puppies on PuppyFind.com. They are all female, cost $500 and were born 10/8/08. Her phone is ringing off the wall with people wanting these bogus puppies. Scammers hope they will just get an email and they can then do all that's necessary to get the money and never ship a pup. All breeds are involved. People beware. If the price looks too good to be true for a quality puppy, IT IS!

Wow....Mom finally found it!

This is our favorite Halloween night picture. We wanted Mom to post it that night, but she lost it in the computer. This morning we heard her whooping while cleaning out her files and there we were!
Now you know for sure there's a little Devil in every cocker!

Hello from Covington, PA

It's me, Buffer. I'm a Ruby and Weylin boy. don't I look like my Pop? They tell me I'm a sweetheart. I know I love my home and Mommy Bonnie and Daddy Dean. I love playing in the garden and being a part of everything they do. They even take me with them to visit family in West Virginia. I'm a good boy then, too. We love to read the blog and feel like we're still a part of the big SBG family. Buffer

We miss Daddy.......

...He's in NC hunting deer with Uncle Butch. Basil is worried because his best buddy isn't around for him to watch over. Pansy sleeps in his chair. Cherry and Lily follow Mommy around and sleep on her lap pretending it's him. Here's his picture from his last trip to NC. He got the biggest deer in camp. We're hoping he does the same now. We love venison.

Sunday cocker fest.....

Mom was gone this afternoon and came back laughing, telling us what a good time she had with her cocker friends. Some brought along their puppies. Here's one they called Boo. Isn't he the cutest!! Mom said she wanted to bring him home, too, but he had other plans.

Here's Daisy & Weylin's boy Shea

Yes, it's me finally sending my pictures for you to see how I've grown. Everyone here on Long Island thinks I'm a show dog. I'm a big hit at the vet and everywhere I go. Mom says I'm just like my zany Pop, Weylin and full of energy. Guess I take up the space of two with all my activities. But that's what we puppies do...it's in the fine print of our contract.

Peanut & Fudge Reporting........

Hi there. We're moving farther South now. Been in Nashville and Jackson TN following the warmth. We stopped to play ball and take a nice walk at our camp site. We met a new friend who followed us on our walk. We have a picture so you can see him. Peanut got in trouble because he went too far and had to be brought back to the RV. He might not get to play again.
More later.

Good News!

We have happy news tonight. We have decided to have our second litter. Our 'date' was successful and hopefully puppies are on the way. Keep watch over our web site the next nine weeks for updates. If all goes well, January 1, 2009 will be the blessed event. We're hoping for a beautiful black girl that looks just like Momma Rosita. That will make our Philip a very happy guy once again.

Rosita of Stonebroke Gardens

Today our darling girl lost her battle
with Auto Immune Homiletic Anemia. Rosie was stricken in April of this year and has been on special medications and diet to combat this killer. We were fortunate to have had her an additional seven months after her first almost fatal attack.
Our vet assures us this disorder is not inherited, rather a random affliction that strikes suddenly and rarely is conqured. We hoped we were the exception.
Auto Immune diseases are the topic of many heated and opinionated arguments by vets all over the world. Some believe it is caused when too many booster shots are given and at a certain age they should be stopped. Rosie is the first and only one of our cockers or puppies to be affected. We have known of others who have lost their pets within days of their diagnose. We urge everyone to have the conversation with their vets about the importance of this issue. To lose a beloved pet at this young age is nothing short of heartbreaking. As we've said many times before, no matter how long we have our sweet babies, it's never enough time.

God Bless our Rosie who joins her mother Clover and her daughter Bella. We know their reunion at the Rainbow bridge was a bitter sweet affair.
