Belated Happy Birthday Connie Probst of Grumble Rock Kennels!!!

I remembered to send Connie great birthday wishes yesterday, but neglected to post it here. Connie is the owner of Grumble Rock Kennels and has shown and bred parti cockers for over 20 years. She is known for her expertise, mentoring and kindness. I am blessed to call her friend.
The above photo is of Connie with her latest Champion, Spinner as a puppy. Spinner was shown to his title by Vicki and Tina of Starline Cockers located in Rochester, NY.

Brinkley and Jasper,,,,Fire Prevention Week

Brinkley and Jasper visit the fire house in Port Allegheny, PA where their daddy is the Fire Chief. Everyone there says they are the best behaved little fire dogs ever. Don't you just love their official red fire hats! They should publish their own calender! The boys wish to remind us to check our homes and offices to be sure they are safe from the horror of a fire. Visit your local fire department for information, plans to evacuate in case of a fire and to have the correct equipment on hand in emergencies. Post phone numbers, check smoke alarm batteries and teach your children to be aware. Also, remember to include your precious pets in all plans. Brinkley and Jasper bark a big Thanks to you all!!!Yep........they're labs!!!

This beautiful yellow female Labrador retriever "Cayenne" belongs to my daughter, Jane Hunter of Tin Beak Labradors. Cayenne has been bred to Tank and expects a litter around Thanksgiving Day. (There goes dinner once again!) I have posted a link to the web site if you are interested. As you can see they are magnificent examples of the breed and the wait list will fill fast. Our cocker world is being given a heads up first as cockers and labs get along together famously. Plus, Jane is very impressed with the love and care cocker families give their pets and each other. She would welcome any family who owns one of our cockers to be put on the wait list.

Emme's latest....

Welcome home Mum Mum!!! Hope you had a very nice trip to see Grand Mum Mum. We have had some great weather, but I don't understand all theses orange things and scarecrows in the yard. But Mommy says they are OK!! She said we are just getting ready for Hollow Weenie. They are still laughing at me because I wouldn't get back on the porch cause of the wolly worm crawling. (pic to follow).love Emme

Bonnie & Buffie..........
Thought I'd share pictures of two of my cocker kids that live with my sister and Mom in Indiana. Bonnie is the buff and Buffie is the black. Both are loving, sweet and smart. I left there yesterday, the day they went to the groomers. So you'll just have to look for the show girls under all that fur!
