Flowers for Easter at SBG

The group above is "Christmas Rose" Hellebore that has been blooming for over a month. It comes up through the snow and ice and lasts until the hot weather makes the flowers turn a waxy green color and it goes to seed.

This is the "Lenten Rose" Hellebore that is just in bud and will
have beautiful big flowers open in time for Easter.

This Hellebore is in full bloom and has been all winter. I don't know the name.
The flower is green. All of these varieties spread naturally over the garden and require no
care.

You can always depend on the faithful crocus to brighten up spring.
Now we await the rest of the spring bulbs to present their splendor.
PS.....we've begun looking for the morels, too....the most delicious
wild mushroom ever.
