What a fun day. The Firedogs came bringing Philip and I tee's from the fire house..yippie.....AND they brought me a beautiful Orchid. I've always wanted one but was afraid I wouldn't know how to keep it. So now's my chance to learn. We walked in the gardens and watched the kids having a ball smelling all the wonderful woodsy hunting smells. Allie, a niece of Marsha and Kevin came along, too. They spent hours playing with Violet and Ranger, who never ran out of energy. When it was time to go, Matty and Brinkley ran into the Quilt room and watched out the door. They wanted to stay! It was the first time I saw Kevin unable to call the boys to him. He ended up having to carry each one to the truck. They were on their way to a week's camping vacation and the boys were to come along. Heck, we would have kept them here and loved every minute of it. It was a great way for Ranger to practice playing with a 9 year old. After all, his family is due to come tomorrow.....and they have two young boys! PS.....both Marsha and Kevin commented about Violet & Ranger..."The photos just don't do them justice. They are so beautiful and colorful." Guess I know another family who's name will appear on Violet's wait list.
