Finn's Update

Hi Mary, Trish and I are glad that Phillip is home and doing better. All is good here Trish has one more chemo next week and hopefully she is finally done. Finn is her special nurse. He sticks to her like glue to make sure all is right. It is amazing that they can sense when something is wrong.

Finn is good. He gets me up around 5 am we have to check out the back yard for the squirrels and chipmunks. Than it is ok for me to have my coffee and paper but in between we have to play squeaky ball before I get ready for work. We also put him on a diet by cutting back his food a little. He is now a lean and mean squeaky ball machine!

I saw your comment about Daisy's ears and I had to tell you about smarty paints Finn. When I go into the cupboard to get his ear wash and cotton balls he knows, even if he is not in the room. He tries to hide but then lies down figuring if I'm down I won't be able to put the wash in. Than it is all hell breaks out, up on all the furniture rubbing his ears and growling then he attacks the squeaky ball. He has three squeaky balls, he is not spoiled!

Oh Trish's favorite movie is "Gone with the Wind". So Birdie's pup (Mr. O'Hara) is Gerald. He looks like Finn with that mug only black instead of Red. As old age set in, we had to Google him to find out that Mr. O'Hara first name was Gerald.

Your both in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this!

Trish and Larry and Finn

(LOL........I only knew Scarlett's father as "the O'Hara". You win the prize for being the first to let me know!)

Hi Finn,
I don't mind getting my ears cleaned it's all part of being a cocker spaniel I guess! Mom tells me that she had a cocker his name is Starbuck and he HATED to get his ears cleaned too! He would try to hide in the corner of moms bunk in her truck. And her other cocker Lizzie when she was little mom had to put a muzzle on her to clean her ears. She got better and after a couple of years she just put up with it without a fight. So you are not alone in hating the ear cleaning! My mom tells me that infection would hurt and cleaning my ears will help keep that from happening. It looks like your doing ok after the experience though all comfy in your chair? Take care and it will be alright! Mr. H:)

He you guy we know exactly what you are talking about with the ears. Jasper usually goes behind his chair in the living room and Brinkley pees on the floor but I just turn my head and try to pull away from mom, however I do like having my teeth brushed, I like the taste of the doggie toothpaste, it's natural stuff, Jasper and Brinkley tolerate it and mom has to keep pushing me out of the way.
