Day One

Good Morning. Thought I'd post the above photo of Tully after her arrival home. That photo tells it all and exactly how I felt after yesterday. I was very pleasantly surprised to find no side effects after the morning and evening dose of chemo or the afternoon radiation session. I only felt like a wet noodle and found myself asleep more than watching my favorite TV shows! So off to bed I went early and had a very good sleep. This morning I felt well and was able to eat breakfast without feeling nauseous. Yippee...so far so good. Life with the Hunters is one laugh after another. Forgot what it's like to be in a house with two teens and their friends. All the labs and Wau Waus, chickens and horses......seems normal, too. I get a big kick out of the family wanting to be together when I take the chemo pills. They all salute as the three bombs are dropped on the enemy! Sam's heading for Air Force Academy after High School, so is really into this attack/defence show! I'm loving it, of course.
Now this afternoon, Kim is bringing Mr. H and his mom Bee, now Mrs. Beasley for a visit. Life is good. Hugs! Mary

Looks like Tully is enjoying her snuggly. They are all so very precious.
Sounds like you are in very good capable hands @ your daughters. Keep up the good work.

We"re all glad so good so far. Like Jodi said you certainly are in good hands at Jane's. They'll keep you laughing and your mind off everything else. Thinking of you every day. Love Doris, Sienna and Livie.

We certainly are busy....Tinkerbell and Kate have found their new favorite game is chase! Too cute. Round and round the kitchen island. Her personality has really come out. She has no problem staring at me and wandering around the kitchen until her egg is scrambled. She is currently trying her hardest to steal an oreo from the bag on the couch. My, I've forgotten what puppies are all about! Anyhow, I have to tell you, but you probably already know...the fur above her nose is brown!! What a surprise. Just a little patch. We are thinking of you everyday and sending hugs. Your family is certainly blessed to have you in it!

Mary, we're so glad to hear you're doing well. What a wonderful family you have but that's no surprise with you being the Mom! Take it one step at a time and it be over before you know it. Sending you our love and lots of Finnie kisses!

So glad that day one has gone so well. Maybe it's a harbinger of all the days to come. Remember those sunrises and sunsets, Mary. I'll be watching them with you!
