Sorry to take so long to get a note out to you all. Philip's heart stint procedure went very well. When I went in to see him I was very concerned that he looked so weak and ill. When I questioned the nurse about what he's had to eat, she said only a piece of peanut butter bread. Well....I had her bring him orange juice, peanut butter & jelly on toast, peaches and a cup of coffee. He ate every crumb and drank every drop and was then able to get up out of bed. Diabetics must have their food on time and it was nearly 11am! He is home today with a shoulder monitor on for 48 hours and limited activities. The procedure was a complete success and we are so relieved. to prove how good he felt, he had us stop at a new Chinese buffet in Mountoursville.
My consultations with both chemo and radiation went well. More blood test showed I had dropped levels that would now allow for a chemo/radiation treatment to be administered. The first day I'll receive it is November 18th. So think of me fondly with my head in a bucket trying to be lady like! I believe I will continue a running account of what happens to me during these six weeks of treatment, that is if you would like to hear it. So for now, It's back to making out contracts, packing puppy food bags and toy bags for their trips home. Birdie, Ruby and Little Tilly will be delivered out in Western PA by Nanny Janice and Lloyd. The rest are leaving tomorrow through Sunday.
Thanks for all your cards, prayers and emails. We are truly blessed by the most wonderful group of people ever. Mary & Philip
