Be it known that the first sighting of morel mushrooms is now official. Philip found the one on the right yesterday and the rest this morning. They will continue in several colors and varieties until the middle of May. These are the dark morels. Stay tuned for the continuing count. Last time we checked, they were selling for $60 a pound.....if you could find someone to sell theirs.

That's mighty expensive turkey food. Gonna have to put Phil out on the hill until you can harvest the crop before the turkies get them!

This makes me think of we were young our dad would always take us out mushroom hunting in the spring. I haven't gone for years now and I'm thinking it won't work out this spring either but I'm really glad that Philip can and that you all can enjoy them!Mr. H's Mom
