It just never stops around here. We were just getting back from Philip's doctor appointment (all is very well indeed..no more stomach shots but still restricted for a month of restful activities) when I heard Janice screaming my name. Birdie had just had her first puppy on the back deck! What a shock. She had shown no signs of labor, ate a huge breakfast and was out back laying in the sunshine. I felt confident to leave every one in Nanny Janice's care. When I heard her yelling to come quickly there's a puppy, I dropped the groceries on the ground and ran. The first boy had arrived. The rest didn't take long after and now Birdie has passed out sleeping while the babes are nursing. Poor Sunny was hastily moved into the 3x3 in the living room and settled in like a pro. No time to take the newborn photos. Tomorrow after Sunny's litter has their tails and dews docked. Sorry I'm not very organized this time! I'll think about the wait list tomorrow, too. If any of you see this and it's what you want...email me immediately. Will check my email again tonight if the internet will allow it.

PS.....rest of the story. Janice scooped up all the grocery bags and brought them in for us. Later we noticed a bite had been taken out of the country ribs and wondered where Basil was......and the chicken I planned to roast tomorrow. Philip went on a hunt and found a wing and some bones and Basil sitting under a bush smoking a cigar waiting for his brandy.
Hope he likes sleeping in the basement tonight. I don't want to be around tomorrow when that mess passes. 911!!!

Oh my gosh! Forget the cats - it's raining dogs and dogs in Westfield!! I can just see those groceries on the floor. Looks like Basil took advantage of a great opportunity. Puppies are too cute!

oh dear da dear, the excitement just never stops with you all. Babies are beautiful! The boys want Basil to come stay with them so they can learn how to get extra food, I bet he was in hog heaven, maybe Birdie and Basil planned that you never know. Poor Nanny Janice. Hope you all get some rest tonight.

P.S. our offer still stands for tomorrow and Wednesday if you need any help.

Before I got my two handsome boys about 8 and 1/2 years ago, I didn't even know Phil and Mary. It is amazing how much my life changed because of my SBG cockers. I didn't just get two fabulous puppies, I got lifelong friends. Not just Phil and Mary but I love their cockers and I have met many wonderful people because of them. My life sure isn't predictable or boring or should I say "Normal." Every day is an adventure! I am so glad I am along for the ride. Thanks Mary.
Love,
Nanny Janice

Nanny Janice I have to agree with you in finding two wonderful friends when I found the SBG website! Lucky you to get to see and help with all the puppies! My life has never been "normal" either but yours is a more wonderful crazy! Mary is a great friend and all that she does for these great puppies is amazing and I think that they are so lucky to have a friend like you too! The mob is quite a responsibility and you are the BEST! I can't wait to come and visit and I know the rules but I would love to break them and get to see all the new babies! And there is one more to go! All of the people need to take care of themselves!! LOL Mr. H's Mom
