Hi Everyone! Hope you having a fun filled holiday. This is how I started my day.
Mom wasn't feeling well, so I took responsibility to make her sit quietly and watch amovie on Showtime. If she thinks I need a nap, she'll hold me for as long as I can stand it.
I'm doing a good job pretending I'm asleep.
After the movie, Mom felt better so we decided to clean out the fridge gettingready for the garden produce Daddy was picking. She found some Speghettio's and
I helped clean the bowl.
As you can see, my job wasn't done. Next I had to help some of the ladiestake their after lunch naps. If they think they are helping me, it all works out
great.
Now it's late in the afternoon and I thought Mom should take another rest since she got allthe sweet corn off the cob and in the freezer. Basil and Holly kept stealing the ears
as Daddy put them in the basket. What a funny sight to see him run after them.
Camps are up and having fun with their picnics and 4 wheelers on the road.
We love to bark at them. We know the Firedogs and Abby are playing together
now at Abby's camp. I was supposed to join them, but ....... maybe next time.

Sad to hear that Mom is not feeling perky. But Violet surely holding you sleeping could heal a world of pain and woes. What a face that girl has, and do we see Birdie serving as a cushy arm rest?
The cooler weather has meant the mini mob is napping more too. We were out playing all day in the yard, chasing bunnies out of the garden and watching a cardinal eat out of our bird feeder.

Gma Mary we needed you today to curb the little scrapper Matty, his attitude blossomed today. Abby was out numbered she needed Violet to help.
Jasper did his little snapping and Brinkley couldn't keep from marking his territory, which actually was Abby's. We were a challenge today, we needed someone to keep us in line,we missed you, we are in the same boat as Tucker right now.

Sometimes it is hard being a dog isn't it? We have so much to remember and it is easy to lose ourselves in the moment. I feel your pain boys. The girls here are making me tow the line but tell me I am getting better; I am sure you good boys who got carried away by the thrill of seeing Abby! Tomorrow is another day. I am now up to three days good but trying to not get carried away! Woof, woof, we all know the Firedogs are good dogs, everyone has a moment!

I hope gma Mary feels better soon!!! Mom wishes she could come there and help her! That bottoom pic of Violet is priceless!!!! What a beautiful girl. I would love to see a pic of Violet and Abby together when Violet gets all grown up! Mom was surprised to hear that those perfect boys were naughty! Today I got to stay downstairs in what is now going to be my room when mom and dad go away instead of being in my crate. I can look outside. Mom left food and water. When they got home I was on the couch taking a nap and not a mess anywhere. Mom left some paper down on the tile in case I had to go mom thought I would remember being a puppy. Mom and dad thought that I would just shred the paper. I had a lot of my toys and a couple bones to chew on and dog life was good. Mom and dad got to go for a nice motorcycle ride. Hope everyone has a very nice Labor Day tomorrow! Mr. H:)

I sure do miss you and miss playing with you. Cassie is great, but she is too tall for me right now and I just nip her ears. But I miss my real sister. Hope you miss me too.
